Research Statement

The Himalayas' varied environment, from tropical to snowy, inspires us to enhance human connections and address challenges, such as misalignment, and response to natural disasters. Our project background is set in the near future where the natural environment is severely damaged by human activities. By utilizing VR and other sensory inputs, we introduce viewers to a village in the Himalayas to experience unprecedented natural disasters within designated interior spaces. Throughout the process, viewers’ emotional resilience and corresponding biometric data will be detected for further research.
